Identifying multispecialty advisors

Situation

In 2022, a preclinical stage medical device company in the dermatology/medical aesthetics space needed to develop a complex, multispecialty, tiered advisory panel and needed to identify a large pool of HCP consultants

Task

ClinicalMind was challenged in finding reliable sources of data for this HCP identification exercise. Prescribing data in this category are generally unavailable and/or unreliable. Experts spanned 8 different subspecialties. The evaluation criteria spread across a wide range of dimensions and there was a starting pool of over 10,000 HCPs

Action

The Data Analytics team at ClinicalMind worked with the client to devise a custom evaluation system that combined data from disparate information sources to provide a custom, searchable, and reconfigurable KOL database. The top 80 names on this list had 100% consistency with peer-nominated KOLs

Result

“The surprising thing for us was that while some of the information ClinicalMind used was publicly available –the custom ranking system they designed provided insights we could never have come up with by ourselves. I’m not a ‘data guy’ but they made the process very simple. We’re really impressed.” – VP HCP Engagement
